One of the best and most environmentally friendly ways to process plant waste is to compost it.
Composting is a natural process in which organic waste is broken down by bacteria in the presence of oxygen.
The resulting compost makes an excellent fertiliser that is rich in humus and can be used to enrich the soil with nutrients. Compost is valuable both in private gardens and in large-scale agricultural production.
