Camp responsibly

You should pitch your tent only on suitable ground, preferably on a site already used for this purpose.

The use of modern equipment will enable you to minimise your impact on the environment: a light tent will provide reliable shelter, and for cooking a gas-stove is a good replacement for an open fire.

Don’t neglect your own safety. Be aware of the possibility of avalanches in the mountains in winter, rising water levels in rivers, and the presence of wild animals.

Take all your rubbish home with you, and leave the site just as you found it.
