Every vegetable has its season

Eating a balanced diet means consuming tasty, well-cooked foods that contain a variety of nutrients necessary for normal development. Vegetables are a great source of vitamins and minerals and are an essential part of a daily diet.

Vegetables contain mostly carbohydrates, far less protein than meat, and almost no fat. They are valuable mainly because they contain active substances such as vitamins (including vitamin C, carotene and folic acid), minerals, organic acids, cellulose and pectin. Healthy adults are recommended to eat at least 600 grams of vegetables per day.

A balance of vegetables should be selected according to flavour, condition and season. The best vegetables are organically grown, and the best vegetable products do not contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or artificial additives and are suitable for vegetarians.
