Clearing up

Leave the place cleaner than you found it!

Wherever possible, use places that have been specially designated for recreation, or that have been used before. Try to reduce your impact on the environment.

Collect all your waste when you’ve finished your meal and take it away with you. Paper waste may be burnt, but you should never throw plastic, polyethylene and other synthetic materials onto the fire.

Don’t wash your dirty plates in a river or a lake, especially not with detergents. Rinse them with water collected from the river, and pour away the dirty water beneath a tree or shrub. Make sure the dirty water is not returned directly into the river or lake after washing up.

Do not use disposable plastic tableware.
